Four Natural Tips For Preventing Eye Wrinkles
Eyes are one of the first things that others notice about us, and are one of the most sensitive parts of our body at the same time. That also applies to the delicate skin around the eye, which is prone to sagging, wrinkling, and sun damage if we are not careful. However, preventing eye wrinkles is possible with a few natural tips. By simply changing some of our habits, we can prevent eye wrinkles starting at a young age.
Wear sunscreen. Although it is something that everyone is told from a very early age, it's extremely important to wear sunscreen daily, especially on areas as sensitive as the skin around the eye. This is one of the most effective ways to go about preventing eye wrinkles.
Wear sunglasses. Sometimes sunscreen is not enough, particularly on bright and sunny days. Sunglasses are both stylish and functional, because they prevent the tissue around the eye from becoming damaged, while at the same time protecting the eye itself. To prevent eye wrinkles, it's best to wear sunglasses whenever the sun is out, and sunscreen at all times.
Be gentle with the eye area. Rubbing your eyes, stretching them, or applying makeup and cleansers too vigorously can take its toll. Your skin is thinner around the eye, and so if it is constantly tugged to and fro this could lead to permanent marks, and eventually wrinkles if you are not careful. Using gentle cotton swabs is better than harsh washcloths.
Use Moisturizers. If you are dehydrated, your skin is more prone to cracking and tearing, which leads to wrinkles. Drinking an adequate amount of water is a good start in the fight against wrinkles, but to truly be effective in your efforts towards preventing eye wrinkles, you'll want to use external moisturizers as well. These can soothe tired eyes, and feel great on the skin. Night creams are often seen for the eye area, but you could use a daily moisturizer as well to prevent eye wrinkles.
These are just a few of the best ways that we can work to prevent eye wrinkles at home, with our daily habits. However, for lasting results, it might be necessary to also take a look at what the latest technological innovations are in this department.
