Wrinkle Treatment – Why Botox is not Really the Best

   does botox really get rid of wrinkles?
   In a few weeks I will be getting the botox treatment for the first time! Do any of you know if it will really minimize wrinkles? I have a deep wrinkle between my eyebrows from squinting a lot and at age 37 it really bothers me a lot. I dont have any deep wrinkles, because I take care of skin, but that one wrinkle has bothered me the last 2 years and I get depressed when I see my pictures. Am I doing the right thing getting botox?

   Have you tried getting facials? Do you moisturise often?
   Have you tried used Bio-oil on the area for three months?

   Botox make the lines much smaller but you won’t be able to express emotions like anger.

   i think it permanently pulls the muscle below your skin so that it stays rigid, you wont be able to make any expressions. and i think the effects stops after a you ll so you’ll need to regularly get injections.

   if you decide to get off the botox, the overly stretched skin will sag even more and it would look pretty bad Much worse than your natural wrinkle. its best if you be content with your natural face.

   Botox is a natural poison which kills the nerve endings, and makes the wrinkles not so visible. However, facial expressions are often limited due to the restricted movement caused by botox injections.

   Why does the wrinkle bother you? It’s what’s on the inside that is the most important. Also, as many celebritites find, even if you do look "perfect" on the outside, you still aren’t happy on the inside. If there is a greater issue than just what you look like, then counselling or speaking to a close friend about what upsets you might be a good option for you.

   If you have a healthy diet and excercise plan, this also contributes to overall health – and thus improving mindset and healthfulness of appearance. Bananas actually are a good natural antidepressant. I’m not too sure of their potency, but someone I know who used to be quite unhappy got on bananas and is now a lot better off.

   If you feel that the wrinkle must be taken care of then I would like to suggest that, as an alternative to botox, you consider a high quality skincare regimen. I use grace products, and I think that they are quite effective.

   I haven’t personally done it but I’ve seen others who have and it did get rid of their wrinkles. It’s not permanent though, you have to go back for follow up treatments but if you don’t overdo it it looks good. Besides, if you don’t end up liking it all you have to do is stop getting it, its a temporary fix, it won’t stay that way forever.

   Basically botox is botulism injected into your face to relax/paralyze certain muscles, thus giving you a temporary lift in your face.

   Yes, you are doing the right thing. My sister in law does it every four mounths and is enjoying her wrinkle free face while she sun tans a lot {BIG MISTAKE HERE THOUGH}. You might need at least 40 shots or maybe 50 shots would make you happier ) Botox will help you not frown, or prevent deepening of your laugh lines; my doctor says if you keep injecting it once in a few months, your muscles will get trained! I do not know about that for sure cause he might be saying this in order to suck money out of my purse on a regular basis. However, when I did it only twice, I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH, BUT ITS EFFECT LASTED LESS THAN THREE MONTHS (35 SHOTS) which made me quite frustrated. If you have the budget, hey, whay not? Now that I do not have too much disposable money, I stick to my regular ritual before bed: After cleaning my face, and drying it, I place a regular, good quality scotch tape in the lenght of one or one and a half inch on my forehead befroe going to bed. For my problem (frown line) I place the tape in the middle of my eyebrows, except on a higher level (lower edges of tape sit right on the top edge of the eyebrows). It works to prevent further deepening of the line, because it limits the movement of my forehead’s muscles {this is what botox does}. I remove the tape when I get up. Even the second time when I had botox injection, I religiously put a tape on my forehead as well, every night and it seemed as if it prolonged the effect of botox, by maybe a month or a month and a half longer than the first time! PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR TO see if this is OK and there are no side effects of sticking a little scotch tape on your forehead. I always forget to ask, but I have a thick skin, and so far (after three years) nothing has happened and I neither saw nor felt any abnormality taking place on my skin or on my forehead! I guess there are much more harmful rays and chemicals in our environment these days that outweight any potential effect of the tape! This is my speculation, and my body might be different. So please check with a physician who is not making any money by injecting botox. Good Luck to you. Please let me know how did it go, and please do not have restylane filling after that cause it not only lasted so little {much less than what the doctor promised me in his sales pitch}, but also it is rediculously expensive. I

   P.S. If you check out http://www.ctv.bc.ca, you might be able to find the article or video regarding the lack of effectiveness of the moisturizers designed to reduce aging signs. Dr. Rhonda Lowe and the Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr. Allistar G…. (I forgot his last name & the spellings of his names) indicated that moisturizers do not work for getting rid of lines! They just help preventing dryness which might in the long run, at some point, lead to formation of lines! Good luck to you, and enjoy your moments with botox while you can! Cheers!

   Yes it does, My mum gets it done every 3-6 months.
   Its works mircales she looks like shes 25 and shes 43.

   Botox isent bad either, its good for you.
   Its also nothing to be ahsmamed about.
